House Dust IPA - Saturday, March 7, 2026

I am out of beer and looking for an IPA to buy. I can't believe the prices. Screw that.
That is offensive and completely unreasonable. Fuck them!!! Fuck them all!!!!!!!
I am stepping up my brew schedule because of this. My lager won't be ready to drink after
aging until April or even May. I have to CPBF them in my PET bottles when it is ready.

 Ingredients

11 lbs. Rahr
4 ozs. Honey Malt
4 ozs. CaraRed
19 grams Warrior @ 60 min.
56 grams Cascade @ 15 min.

85 grams Cascade dry hop 3 days before kegging

Bit of a late start but done okay. I can pitch the yeast between 10 and 11.

Brew Day - Pitches US-05 at 2:30 pm. Wort was to cold earlier - 60F. Heat on - 64F.
March 8 -  - No activity next am. Typical of US-05.
March 12 - 74F. Should of checked it last night. Big krausen head though.
March 15 - Seems to be done. Adding dry hops today.

Keep an eye on it and add the remaining hops 3 days before kegging. That will be
somewhere between March 19 and March 22. Heater on, it is bloody cold downstairs.

                                        KEG ON WED MARCH 19

Since I screwed up my lager, I have this left as the only beer on hand. I do have to clear
it so this won't be ready until March 27. Had trouble with the syphon hose but got most
of it.

ADDED GELATIN ON MARCH 20 @ 12 NOON

I will transfer to a keg today on March 26 and carb it up.
Done, but the transfer was way too slow. I let it ride for now and will take apart
all hoses and take apart everything else and give it all a good clean and store it
for the move to the house where brewing beer is a big challenge.

                                    SAMPLED ON MARCH 28

Fine. A little too much hop aroma but that is because I left it in the keg longer than usual.
It will subside in the next few days as it always does.

Sampled on April 15 - It has held it's hop flavour and aroma which is a surprise.
