Lockdown Lager - Tuesday, February 2, 2021

 Still in lockdown with stay at home orders. Boring but get it over with now and maybe summer can be normal again and I get to play ball in Squirrel Creek. Using the last of my Vienna malt because I can. Will be getting my 4 bags of Canada Malt soon so I can make home made starters and finally some Cavan Style IPA's. A city in Europe where we will be going sometime soon Ingredients 11lbs. GTA Pils 8 ozs. Vienna 8 ozs. Munich I 4 ozs. Acid Malt 70 g Hallertauer Mittelfruh at 60 min. 30 g Saaz at 10 min. Wyeast 2308 Munich O.G. - 1.048 F.G. - % -  SRM - 3.6 BU - 25                                                      WYEAST 2308 PITCHED ON FEB 3 Did all of this the next morning early. Doing a fast ferment and going to make a starter from my 2 pacs of WLP029. I think I will have to step it up, but I do have time to do this. Need to make some IPA's...

 Robobrew I still want to ride my bike here in Arizona some day Today I am starting to brew my only style this year besides my lager which will be a one off. I will over build my yeast starters and do this for around 4 - 5 batches and buy some new yeast. I still can't find any 092 Kolsch yeast. Not available in any HB store in Ontario. Maybe next month. This is the first time I have had trouble buying supplies, and it is not a covid thing. No excuse for not getting it in stock. I even requested it from the store in Lindsay, but this guy isn't interested in helping out customers. Ingredients 11 lbs. GTA Pils Malt 12 ozs. Munich 1 8 ozs. White Wheat 4 ozs. Acid Malt 70 g Hallertauer Mittelfruh at 60 min. 30 g Saaz at 10 min. Escarpment Kolsch - 2 L yeast starter with over build. 75/25 RO/Spring or well ( depending on how my current Kolsch tastes which had 25% well water ) Using well water for my 25%.
