Conical This is my pilot brew for an English style ale. I have another English style beer coming and which one I like most will be a regular beer which hopefully be on beer gas sometime. Boddingtons or Fullers? We will see. If this style of beer is okay, I do intend on buying some Pearl malt instead of using 2 row. Taste is far superior. 22 lbs. UCM 2 row 1.56 lbs. Conical This is the 2nd pilot brew using brewing salts. I credit this to www.theelectricbrewery.com from Kal's website of recipes. This is his blonde/lager water profile. I did it 2 years ago with little success. No idea what went wrong. It tasted funny and I didn't do a repeat. Well, I am not giving up. There must be a reason for the funny taste and I know it isn't from Kal's recipe. So that is why I am going to repeat or maybe even tweek this recipe to get it where I want it. Then, just brew and brew. Ingredients 24 lbs. UCM 2 row 1 lb. Crystal 15 91 grams Hallertauer @ 60 min. 56.70 grams Hallertauer @ 0 min. 50 grams US-05 ( Getting higher FG than usual ) CA - 68 S04 - 70 CI - 69 4.2 g gypsum in mash 5.2 g gypsum in sparge 3.6 g calcium chloride in mash 4.4 g calcium chloride in sparge 50 ml.
