Brew Day - November 24, 2011
Storey Stout I haven't made a stout in 3 years. I'll bottle condition one keg and serve the other, just in time for Christmas. I made up this recipe. I don't want flaked barley, lactose, oats or any crap like that. I kept it simple. I went with a pound of crystal 90, because that is the only crystal I have on hand. As usual, the Beer Store can go fuck themselves. 14 Gallons 21 lbs. Canada Pilsner Malt 2 lbs. Carafa I 2 lbs. Carafa III 1 lb. Crystal 90 100 grams EKG - 60 min. 300 ml of Nottingham slurry ( pitched into two 6 gallon buckets ) O.G. - 1.050 F.G. - 1.016 % - 4.5 SRM - 42.7 BU - 29.6 FTBS
