Brew Day December 11, 2008
This is a cross between an English bitter and English IPA. I like the way this tastes. Hoppy, but not too much alcohol. Besides, using 22 lbs. of 2-row stretches my inventory.
3 Dog English IPA
15 Gallons
22 lbs. Canadian 2-row
1.5 lbs. Flaked Barley
1 lb. Crystal 80L
1. lb. Biscuit 25L
1 lb. Corn Sugar
180 grams EKG - 60 minutes
Mash @ 150F for 90 minutes
O.G. - 1.054
F.G. - 1.010
% - 5.8
SRM - 7
IBU - 52
This brew is now in kegs. The bitterness is still quite evident, but it will mellow out in couple of weeks. Since I have 2 kegs, I tap one and put the other one away to age.
