The Slaughtered Lamb - Friday, August 17, 2018 ( Same Odd Taste )
Using a very popular base malt instead of so called English/Canadian base malt which didn't taste good at all. Pilsners in the fall. You gotta love these UK Pub signs. Tons of slaughtered lamb signs on the internet. Love this one.
Ingredients
23 lbs. ESB Gambrinus ( 3 L )
2 lbs. Carahell
3 ozs. UK Choc
56.70 ozs. UK Challenger - 7.8% AA @ 60 min.
28.35 ozs. EKG - 6.1% AA @ 30 min.
Nottingham - ( 4 )
Water Profile - Amber Dry ( I changed it to suit me )
I am now posting my water salts additions in future posts as I don't seem to be keeping them as I am constantly changing everything. Now I have the RoboBrew, so that definitely changes everything. If this is astringent, I don't know why.

FERMENTATION NOTES
Going good the next morning. Temp - 66 F. The new temp strip seems to be stuck at 68 F. No matter what the other one says, this always says 68 F. Will rip it off and get another one. Need one that is more detailed, this is one from the 90's. The wort had a nice EKG taste to it which I was surely lacking in the last brew. The stopper blew off the new carboy and was sitting along side the carboy. Still very active fermentation, but hopefully nothing got in from the fridge going on and off and of course the fan. This was almost done in 3 days. Looks great though, even with all of that trub I got in the fermenters. Duh!!! Keg on Aug 29. This has to be good as I am making a Cavan Uncommon for me and saving the Pilsners for Les and Rick. Keg on Wed Aug 29.
KEGGED ON AUG 30
Just like the last one, maybe worse. My last beer of this style anyway.
