Brew Day - October 9, 2011
My Simcoe hops didn't arrive in the post, so I wemt ahead without them. I am using a slurry from my last IPA, so I want to keep it the same.

325ml Nottingham slurry
O.G. - 1.048
F.G. - 1.012
% - 4.7
SRM - 8.2
BU - 42.8
At first the toasted malt dominated the flavour and I didn't like it. However, given time and it has started to taste pretty good. More balanced than my previous version. This is a good cold weather sippin beer. I think I will retire this recipe. I like this beer, but not enough for 2 kegs of it. I have another recipe similar to this, but most of the hops are added very late in the boil. I still have lots of these hops in the freezer and will use them all.
