3 Dog Harvest Ale

I have been working on this brew for 2 years now. Not a lot of success though. I need to get a different 60 minute bittering hop like Horizon, or Amirillo. That way, I can go with Chinook for aroma only and load up on that. Anyway, we'll see what this one is like. I am not a hophead, but I do like "C" hops in my ales.

I want this brew to be reasonably hoppy, but not too bitter. Just lots of citrus taste and aroma. The blowoff hose was busy. I lost about half a gallon and the smell of the chinook hops was fantastic. This has a good chinook hop aroma. Bitterness is where I wanted it. The copper colour is nice and will be clearer after the addition of gelatin. I sampled some on day 5 after I added the gelatin. Nice. I think this will be my go to beer for awhile. No cloying taste because most of my hop additions were later on in the boil. This is not a hop bomb. It has a nice chinook hop aroma and the bitterness is medium. Just the way I like it.
