ROBOBREW CRASHED AGAIN - E1 AND E2 CODES. If they offer my money back, I may take it and save up for a better system from the US. Using my old system today, Had to think on how to use it, it has been that long. I just got enough water in the mash tun to use it. Just above the 240 V element. Sending a new one and I am sending the old one back.
Brewing this instead of my Steam beer or my other brown ale as everything is stuck in trailers during the Canada Post strike. Idiot!!! Using GR NB hops because my EKG hops are in that trailer too. Glad I didn't order liquid yeast as it may freeze if this strike lasts any longer.

FERMENTATION NOTES
Nov. 9 - Brew day - Wort cooled to 64 F. I set it for 66 F, Re-set it for 68 F.
Nov. 10 - Turned on heat to get it going better.
Nov. 11 - 66 F. Going good and steady, but nothing coming out of hose.
Fridge not on as room is 64 F.
Nov. 14 - Still active, but slowing down now. Keg on Nov. 22.
Dec. 2 - Still not kegged. May keg today. Kegged. Tastes normal.
Dec. 5 - Carbed up a bit too much, but okay. This beer is fine. I did nothing
different with this than my bitters that I tossed out. I still say OBK
sold me stale malt. Why else sell grains for 89 cents/lb? Nope, UCM
grains for now on and if they close down I will rejoin GTA Brews
and do the spring/fall grain buys.
Dec. 7 - Seems to of lost a bit of flavour since the other day. Still good though.
It does need something like Victory malt to give it a nutty taste.
Dec. 9 - Seems to of picked up a slight unpleasant grainy flavour. Not sure
where that came from. First time using Brown Malt, but that should
not be it. Maybe just everything settling to the bottom of the keg.
I noticed that it is going away now when it starts to clear. I knew it
would.
Dec 17 - Gone and good riddance. Yes, it wasn't all that bad, but very strong
tasting. If I ever brew it again, use 50% less Brown malt and add some
Victory malt.
